Many people use the words ghost, spirit, soul, and sometimes other words as well (discarnate, specter, etc.), as if they all mean the same thing.

To be more precise, most people don’t have any of these things defined clearly and don’t have the spiritual awareness necessary to see exactly what they are.

Ghosts

A ghost is a being that is holding on to an astral-body (see my web-page on details of the astral-body) in order to remain in existence after the physical body it was using has died, due to unresolved (or more precisely, “not let go of yet”) issue(s). The Astral-body can retain some of the shape of the body it used to be part of, or can become ovoid or spherical in shape (a human in very good spiritual condition will have, while their body is alive, an Astral-body of ovoid shape and much bigger than the human body).

The Astral-body, which is one of the 143 energy-bodies a human body has (see my website on those), would normally dissipate within 3 days after the physical body dies, as do almost all energy-bodies (with the exception of placed-spirit). To become a ghost, the being who owned the physical-body insists on remaining in existence, and (usually unknowingly) links to the Astral-body as a vehicle to remain connected to this universe.

Spirits

There are two types of spirit.

One type is spirit placed down into this universe by the part of you which is outside this universe (I call that part “Ultimate-self”). Placed-spirit is an energy-body with 3 large spherical parts, and is the only energy-body which doesn’t dissolve (within a few days) when the physical-body dies.

The other type of spirit is spirit-arising, and this exists on every particle in the Physical-universe. The spirits of particles are grouped by definition, so, to somewhat over-simplify, everything which there is a word for, has a spirit. So a car has a spirit, a house has a spirit (and there will be additional spirits below ground under the building), a country has a spirit etc.

This also applies to living things so a human body has spirit-arising (which can be seen as an energy-body), and so do animal bodies.

Soul

Soul is an energy-body, separate from spirit. It always has 3 lower and 3 upper parts (for every living thing down to and including bacteria), and if the human body is owned by an Ultimate-self then it has a 4th lower level and 4th upper level. These levels are horizontal layer-type structures.
